讲座题目：How do you design and manage public policy programs that help alleviate poverty?
讲座内容：I am a development economist who uses field experiments to test policy and programs. I have worked on research in Sierra Leone, Mali, Ghana, and Georgia. I have also designed experiments for the World Bank in India, Nepal and Afghanistan. I will talk about these opportunities to apply good policy design to problems in developing countries. I will briefly give an overview of how policy experiments are used in the management of public policy. I will describe to students the field experiment we are hoping to run starting this summer in China that focuses on the effects of rural-to-urban migration on incomes, social outcomes, and family structures.
